So, I guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there.

We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.

Catherine –

Kiwi. Photographer. Writer.

I love coffee, and good wine.
I carry at least one book with me at all times, and am forever in search of the perfect breakfast…

I love stories.
Have for as long as I can remember. I’m an avid reader, and a newbie writer.

I also tell stories with my photos. Aiming to capture not just the big moments, but all the little details you might miss in the busyness of the day.
The small glances, the accessories, your family members, and all the emotion.

I spent three years at uni, studying photography, and graphic design (as well as a bit of everything else my course offered). I fell in love with shooting Weddings early on, and haven’t looked back! Something about the whole day, the emotion, and the white dress gets me every time. You’ll find me with my eye on the groom as the bride walks in, and running round the back to get that perfect shot. I call my style ‘relaxed documentary’. I like to catch th natural flow of things, and intervene as little as possible.

Although I studied to shoot weddings, and engagements, I love telling every kind of story. I’ve worked on everything from Full day weddings, to Lifestyle, and Boudoir photography. Anything with a person in it is fine by me!

Beyond photography, I love reading! This year I’m working to read a book a week (so far on track, Ill keep you posted). I also love baking and cooking, and just about anything crafty.

Weekends find me in bed with coffee and a book. Or out exploring new restaurants, vintage shops, and markets.

Currently on the East Coast of Australia, getting lost in bookshops around Brisbane.
